Teaching & Twitter

I really believe Twitter has so much potential for use in school, from sharing links and ideas to discussing topics with students, it’s such a useful resource, and when managed properly a safe one too.

I have been using Twitter in my teaching for over two years now, and last year’s GCSE revision on Twitter was not only great fun, but achieved a 97% A*-C pass rate amongst those who took part, with a positive value added score as well. Our combination of games, quizzes, history therapy and tips helped students engage with their revision in a far more active way, as colleagues, parents and even governors have testified.
